Lampwork Bead Making

I have finally finished at Barton Grange. I can now dedicate all my time to making Lampwork Beads and teaching the same. This of course means more jewellery for my customers to choose from. I am now running 1 day Lampwork Bead Making lessons and have named these lessons ' Lampwork Experience Days' it is a must for those creative people wanting to create their own designs for their own jewellery, more about this later.

Summer Show Update 2

I can't believe the Summer shows have ended, wow, it was both tiring and exciting. Along the way I have met some really interesting people aswell as a few strange ones!! but most of all the majority have loved my work which makes it all the more worth while. Some shows I will definately do again, others I probably won't. I think one of the highlights was a trophy I was presented with at Appleby ag show for best presented stall.

But summer has gone and now its time to get ready for Christmas, bring it on!!

Myerscough College Open Day 2011

What a great day out for everyone, everybody was saying there was lots to do and see, its no wonder it attracts 15000 visitors plus. For us the day started slowly with a little drizzle but that cleared up and things got better for us. Because this is a local show for us we will probably be back next year.

Cartmel Racing

We went to Cartmel Racing on Bank Holiday Monday, it was a great day. A little drizzle in the morning whilst we were setting up but that soon past over to leave a nice sunny afternoon. We have wanted to do this racing day for a while now but never really tried that hard to make the necessary arrangements, but now we have and we will be back next year.

Myerscough College Open Day 2011

My next show is at Myerscough College. Its their 2011 open day and Country Fair has over 150 attractions, its expected to be a fantastic day out and attracts over 15000 people, WOW!! So make a note in your diaries/ callenders on Sunday 5th June, you don't want to miss it!

Ryelands Park

Ryelands Park in Lancaster are having their annual Bank Holiday Monday car boot/ Market tomorrow. I have decided to give it a go, so if anyone is around try and find me!!

Mottram Spring Show

Went to Mottram Spring Ag Show today. It was very windy but the new gazebo came through with only minor damage to one of the canvas sides. As usual met some really interesting people and dogs!! Will probably do this one again next year and will defo be standing at their summer show in August

Guys Easter Fair

Thank You for visiting us at Guys Easter Fair. A great day was enjoyed by all, the weather stayed sunny for us, it certainly brought out the crowds. With not previously trading at this fair we didn't know what to expect, but, there was plenty of people so we were pleasantly surprised. This will be added to the calender for next year.

Enchanted Jewels- Summer shows

Since my last post I have been busy making beads for my exclusive jewellery range. Also sorting out the Summer shows we are attending this year. First up is the Easter Craft Fair at Owd Nells and Guys Thatched Hamlet just off the A6 at Bilsborrow Preston. Its going to be a great day out with plenty to do for all, why not come along and join in the fun.

Prep for website and market

Friday is the start of a very busy day.
I start by taking photos of my handmade jewellery which will be put on the website over the weekend, a task which was interrupted because my camera battery needed charging--- great! Not to worry I just move onto my preps for tomorrows market which include bagging up my new beads, a tedious task.
The beads are done, I relax a little and look forward to a great day on the market tomorrow,  I think its going to be a cold and wet day!

Early start

Winter is coming, the mornings are getting darker and colder, brrrr its going to be chilly putting up my market stall in Lancaster. But this is just the start of it I can look forward to temperatures below zero, icicles on the end of my nose and feet like blocks of ice.
Its all worth it though because I get to meet some real interesting people and I'm not just talking about the other market traders!
Over the last 2 years selling my handmade jewellery and my new range of handmade lampwork beaded jewellery and other fashion jewellery I have built up my customer base steadily and now some of these customers are my friends.
I love what I do because I am a peoples person I can chat all day but most of all I can show the world my artistic side, all my bracelets, necklaces and earrings are unique and original in design, especially my handmade lampwork glass beads (more about these later).

I am in Lancaster outside the HSBC bank on Market Street every Wednesday and Saturday. Come along for a chat and grab yourself a piece of my original artwork, it will be great to see you.
